Abhay Raj, born on November 19, 2003, in the bustling town of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, shares a vibrant connection with his roots. Growing up in a family where hard work was part of life—his father, Shatrughan Singh Neti, a farmer, and his mother, Prameelabhai, a dedicated Sahayika in the Anganwadi system—Abhay learned the value of perseverance early on. With a young sister named Ankita, the spirit of camaraderie runs strong in the Neti household. Abhay first discovered his passion for kabaddi at the tender age of 12, inspired by local players in his village. He plays as a Right Cover Defender and has a special fondness for the dash, a skill he’s eager to perfect. His training at the Veer Shivaji Kabaddi Club, under the guidance of Coach Hemant Yadav, has honed his abilities, making him a promising talent to watch. Though he recently participated in the Senior National Championships representing Chhattisgarh, he aspires to take his game to new heights. Abhay dreams of becoming a professional kabaddi player and has his sights set on the Pro Kabaddi League. He remains motivated, driven by his favorite player, Surjeet Narwal, hoping one day to tread the same path. With his dedication and passion, there's no doubt that Abhay's kabaddi journey is just beginning.
