M. Shanmuga Pandian

Shanmuga Pandian, born on May 28, 2001, entered this world in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. His father, MuthuKumar, has passed away, and his mother, Suganthi, supports the family through farming. Shanmuga Pandian has two siblings: an elder brother named Rethinavel Pandian, who also plays Kabaddi for MK Raj Sports Club, and a younger brother named Harish Jayaraj. Both his brothers share his passion for Kabaddi, fostering a competitive spirit within the family. Shanmuga Pandian embarked on his Kabaddi journey at the age of 14, assuming the role of a Right Raider. Renowned for his toe touch technique, he trains under the mentorship of his elder brother Rethinavel Pandian at the Trichy Lalgudi Boys School ground. Shanmuga Pandian greatly admires his brother Rethinavel Pandian, recognizing his resilience and never-give-up attitude. Apart from Kabaddi, Shanmuga Pandian excels in athletics, particularly in running events, showcasing his athleticism and versatility in sports. While his representations are limited to the junior state level, Shanmuga Pandian takes pride and joy in being a Kabaddi player, inspired by his brother's journey in the sport. Having completed his Bachelor of Physical Education in 2024, Shanmuga Pandian aspires to become a professional Kabaddi player and eventually a coach, following in the footsteps of his elder brother. Raised in an environment where Kabaddi runs in the family, Shanmuga Pandian is determined to carve his own path in the world of Kabaddi, inspired by his brother's achievements and fueled by his own passion and dedication.
