K Manikandan

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing AMKC Gobi, we have Manikandan. Born on November 7, 1999, in Gobichettipalayam, Tamil Nadu, Manikandan currently resides in the same city. His father, Kumar, and mother, Mageshwari, both work in construction. He has a younger sister named Divya, who does not play kabaddi. Manikandan began playing kabaddi at the age of 14 and primarily operates as a Right Raider. His favorite skills include the Toe Touch and Jump techniques. He is coached by Ismail and practices near his home. His favorite kabaddi player is Suresh Kumar, whom he admires for his solidity, presence of mind, and expertise in executing the toe touch maneuver. Manikandan has represented in several tournaments, including the South Zone Inter-University competition and Gramotsavam Isha kabaddi event, where he achieved victory. Outside of kabaddi, Manikandan has represented Tamil Nadu in pole vaulting. He holds a College Graduation degree and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts (MA) in English. His future aspirations include playing in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) and fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a police officer.
