S. Navas Hameed

S. Navas, born on April 11, 2006, was born and raised in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, Shahul Ameed, works in loading, while his mother, Samsiya, is employed at a plastic godown. Navas has an elder sister named Natira and an elder brother named Ajmal, neither of whom play kabaddi. Navas discovered his passion for kabaddi at the age of 11, initially playing in school. Specializing as a Right Corner Defender, he excels in techniques like the ankle hold and hip hold under the guidance of Coach Sivan, practicing diligently at the college ground. His favorite kabaddi player is Fazel Atrachali, admired for his defensive prowess and strategic strokes. Navas has represented his school and state in prestigious tournaments such as Khelo India, SGFI, and Sub Junior Nationals. Aside from kabaddi, Navas enjoys playing cricket and volleyball. Currently pursuing his education up to the 12th standard, his aspirations include representing India in kabaddi. Described as an aspiring player from Coimbatore, Navas is determined to excel in the sport and make his mark on the national stage.
