S. Pragatheesh

Pragatheesh, born on March 29, 2000, hails from Tanjore, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides in the same city. His father, Sathyamoorthy, works as a rice farmer, while his mother, Koushalya Devi, manages the household. He has a younger sister named Dharshini, who does not play kabaddi. Pragatheesh began his kabaddi journey at the age of 9, inspired by the numerous kabaddi players in Vaduvur, his hometown, which boasts a stadium. Specializing as a Right Cover Defender, Pragatheesh excels in techniques like the Thigh Hold and Cutting. He learned the sport from players in his village and practices in Vaduvur. His favorite kabaddi player is Aslam Inamdar, renowned for his offensive skills, jumps, and bonus points. Pragatheesh has represented his university in the South Zone and participated in senior state-level tournaments. Apart from kabaddi, he enjoys playing cricket. Currently pursuing a BA in History, Pragatheesh aspires to become a police officer to contribute positively to his city. Described as very shy and well-mannered, he is deeply passionate about his career goal.
