Born on September 3, 2004, in Samuthirapatti, Pudhukottai District, Tamil Nadu, Jagen D is a promising kabaddi player with a knack for defensive maneuvers. Growing up in a family of farmers, with his father Desingurajan T and mother Sasikala D, Jagen developed a strong work ethic from a young age. Discovering his passion for kabaddi at the age of 15, Jagen quickly excelled in the role of a Right Corner Defender. His mastery of the Ankle Hold technique sets him apart on the kabaddi mat, making him a formidable opponent to face. Under the guidance of his coach Dharmaraj, who serves as the Manager/Coach at PRIST University, Jagen hones his skills at Vels College. Despite not having siblings who play kabaddi, Jagen finds inspiration in pro kabaddi player Santhapaselvam, admiring his expertise in ankle holds and chain tackles.
