K Hariharan Karuppaiya

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing the Samy Academy team is Hariharan K, born on October 25, 2005, in Chinnamannor, Theni, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, Karuppu, earns a living through daily wages, while his mother, Janaki, manages the household. Hariharan has an elder sister named Pavithra, who does not play Kabaddi. Despite not being employed, Hariharan is passionate about Kabaddi and began playing at the age of 10. His preferred position on the field is Right Cover Defender, and he specializes in the Chain Grapple technique. Hariharan receives coaching from his uncle Rajesh, who is a player for SDAT, and Kalidas, who played for MYS Sports Club in Theni. He practices at the SAMY Academy ground in Salem and the MYS Sports Club ground in Theni. Hariharan's favorite player is Kalidas, his coach, whom he admires for his offensive style. He has represented his state in the Junior and School categories. Despite his dedication to Kabaddi, Hariharan also enjoys playing volleyball as an average player. Currently pursuing a BSc in Chemistry, with graduation expected in 2025, Hariharan's career highlights include a diving tackle that overturned the result of a state-level match in favor of his team. His future aspiration is to play the Pro Kabaddi League and become a Police Inspector.
