Sandeep, born on May 18, 2005, hails from Salem, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides there. His father, Shanmugam, serves as a Captain in the Army, while his mother, Meena, works as a teacher in a government school in Salem. Sandeep has an elder brother named Sanjeevi, who previously played for Palani Tuskers in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Winter Edition'22 and later got selected for Telugu Titans. Sandeep began playing kabaddi at the age of 15, inspired by his family's involvement in the sport. His father was a services player, and his brother also played kabaddi. Sandeep's original playing position is as a Left Raider, and his best skill is his jumping ability. He receives coaching from Samyappan at Samy Academy, where he practices regularly. Pardeep Narwal is Sandeep's favorite kabaddi player, and he admires Narwal's impressive dubki move. Sandeep has represented his team in various tournaments, including the Junior State tournaments in Mayaladudura in 2022 and Chengalpettu in 2024. Besides kabaddi, Sandeep enjoys playing badminton and participating in athletics. Currently pursuing BA English in his second year, Sandeep's career highlight includes a remarkable performance in a local tournament in Salem in 2022, where he scored 13 points and led his team to victory despite being behind by 20 points initially. Sandeep aspires to play for Team India in kabaddi, following in the footsteps of his brother Sanjeevi, who is a Yuva graduate. Sandeep bears a resemblance to his brother Sanjeevi.
