Born on September 3, 2004, in the charming town of Karur, Tamil Nadu, Shankar Nallusamy is a rising star in the world of kabaddi. Growing up in a close-knit family, he is the youngest among four siblings, being supported by his hardworking father, Nellusamy, a dedicated farmer, and his nurturing mother, Thangamani. It was the sight of local players from his village that sparked Shankar's fascination for kabaddi at just 12 years old, setting him on a path that blends passion and determination. Shankar plays as a Right Raider and has been training under the expert guidance of Coach Thangavel Raju at Karpagam University. His journey saw a significant milestone when he represented Tamil Nadu in the Junior Nationals, a chance that, while not resulting in a medal, only strengthened his resolve. Notably, he loves scoring bonus points, inspired by his favorite player, V Ajith Kumar, who he admires for his exceptional skills. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration, alongside studies in Bachelor of Physical Education, Shankar dreams of a future in law enforcement. He embodies the spirit of a true athlete and community servant, paving his way to success both on the mat and in life.
