Balaji Chinnakaruppan

Balaji C, born on June 4, 2000, in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, is a key member of the Jayachitra Club competing in the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament. His father, Chinnakaruppan C, and mother, Shanti S, work as coolies. Balaji has one younger sister named Pavitra, who does not play kabaddi. Balaji's journey in kabaddi began in the 6th standard when he was inspired by his cousin brother, who is a kabaddi player. Excelling as a Left Raider, Balaji's best skill lies in his Jump technique. He receives guidance from coaches Kannan and Jayakumar, training at the Jayachitra Club in Tiruppur. Ajay Thakur, known for his defensive skills, particularly inspires Balaji, reflecting his admiration for Thakur's expertise in the sport. In terms of representations, Balaji has participated in Junior Nationals, Senior State tournaments in 2023, and district-level competitions. Beyond kabaddi, Balaji enjoys playing cricket and has completed his education up to the 10th standard. Currently, he is engaged in his own clothing business. His career highlights include winning the Best Raider award in a match against Madurai while playing for Valladiar Boys in 2024, earning him a TV as an award. Balaji aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), aiming to showcase his talents on a larger stage.
