Sakthi Deivasigamani

Sakthi D was born on August 6, 2004, in Pallikonda, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides in Pallikuppam, Vellore. His father, Devisegamani, works as a farmer, while his mother, Sumathi, is a homemaker. Sakthi comes from a large family with three elder sisters named Nirmala, Lavanya, and Sandhiya, as well as one younger sister named Kokila. Sakthi is deeply passionate about kabaddi, which he started playing at the age of 17. As an all-rounder, Sakthi demonstrates versatility in his playing positions, excelling both as a Right Raider and a Left Corner Defender. His preferred skill on the kabaddi mat is the Hand Touch, allowing him to outmaneuver opponents with agility and precision. Under the guidance of coaches Madhankumar at PK Sports in Jolarpettai and Arivalagan at SAI Salem, Sakthi hones his skills and refines his gameplay strategies. He draws inspiration from his brother, Vijay, whose exceptional skills in toe touch and hand reach serve as a model for Sakthi's own development in the sport. Despite not having any siblings who play kabaddi, Sakthi's dedication and passion for the game drive him to continually strive for excellence. With his commitment, versatile playing style, and admiration for his brother's achievements, Sakthi aims to make a significant impact in the world of kabaddi and achieve success on the professional stage.
