Abishek Jeevan

Abishek J, born on February 19, 2002, hails from Vaniyampadi, Thiruppathur District, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides in the same locality. His father, Jeevan S, is not employed, while his mother, Dhakshayani J, works in a tannery. Abishek has one elder sister named Vinitha. Abishek's journey in kabaddi began at the age of 9, primarily assuming the role of a Right Raider. Known for his agility and prowess in jumping, Abishek's best skill lies in executing precise jumps to outmaneuver opponents on the kabaddi mat. Under the mentorship of Coach Singaravelu, who has completed his National Institute of Sports (NIS) training and currently serves as a physical education teacher in Chennai Amrita, Abishek hones his skills at the Seven Rose Club in Vaniyampadi. He draws inspiration from Arunkumar, a former kabaddi player who introduced him to the sport and guided him to his coach. Abishek admires Arunkumar's exceptional skills in kabaddi. Abishek has represented Thiruppathur District in various kabaddi tournaments, including the Junior State 2022, Isha Kabaddi Tournament 2023 in Coimbatore, Inter College 2022 at Sports University, and the CM Trophy 2021-2022. He excels in skills like jumping, hand touch, and toe touch. Apart from kabaddi, Abishek also enjoys playing volleyball. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Coaching. With aspirations to play for the Tamil Thalaivas in the Pro Kabaddi League and secure a job in the Tamil Nadu Police Department, Abishek remains focused on his kabaddi career while pursuing his education.
