Ranjith Shanmugan

S Ranjith, born on March 31, 2006, originally from Velur, Tamil Nadu, currently resides in Koralpakkam, Thiruvanamallai, with his family. His father, Shanmugam, sadly passed away, and his mother, Parimala, works as a farmer to support the family. Ranjith has a younger brother named Lokesh, who shares his passion for kabaddi and plays alongside him. Ranjith discovered his love for kabaddi at the age of 11, inspired by the vibrant kabaddi culture in his village. As an all-rounder, he showcases his talent as both a Left Raider and Left Cover Defender on the kabaddi mat. His agility and precision in Hand Touches make him a formidable opponent. Under the guidance of Madhankumar, the coach at PK Sports, Ranjith hones his skills at Jolarpettai. Aslam Inamdar is Ranjith's favorite player, admired for his exceptional speed, skill, and unique style of play. Ranjith aspires to emulate Inamdar's success and incorporate his techniques into his own gameplay. Ranjith has represented his team in prestigious tournaments such as the Junior State in Coimbatore in 2024 and the CM Trophy in 2023, where he showcased his talent and contributed to his team's success. His favorite kabaddi move is the Dash, which he executes with precision and finesse. In addition to kabaddi, Ranjith enjoys participating in athletics and has competed at the State Level in 2023. Currently pursuing his college graduation degree in the first year of BA Defense, Ranjith harbors aspirations of securing a job in either the Police or Army through his prowess in kabaddi. He aims to leverage his passion for the sport to achieve his career goals and contribute to the service of his country.
