Prabhagaran G was born on February 11, 2001, in Thamlerimuthur, Thiruppathur District, Tamil Nadu, and continues to reside in the same location. His late father, Gopal G, was not employed, while his mother, Lakashmi G, works as a homemaker. Prabhagaran has three siblings: one elder brother named Govindsamy G and two elder sisters named Muthamal G and Kanaka G. None of his siblings are involved in kabaddi. Prabhagaran began his kabaddi journey at the age of 15 and quickly demonstrated his versatility as an all-rounder, adept at playing both as a Left Raider and a Left Cover. His preferred skills on the kabaddi mat include the Kick and Double Ankle Hold, enabling him to assert dominance over opponents with strategic maneuvers. Under the guidance of coaches Madhankumar and Arivazhagan at PK Sports Foundation, Prabhagaran refines his skills and sharpens his gameplay tactics. He draws inspiration from Anup Kumar, a prominent Pro Kabaddi player, admiring his leadership qualities and his ability to secure the first point on the initial raid. Prabhagaran has represented Tamil Nadu in various kabaddi tournaments, including the Junior Nationals 2020 and the South Zone University 2020 and 2022. He also participated in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Winter Edition 2023 as a member of the Palani Tuskers team. Apart from kabaddi, Prabhagaran enjoys playing football, cricket, and volleyball. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Physical Education and has completed his degree, currently undertaking the National Academy of Sports (NAS) program. Despite facing setbacks due to injuries during senior national matches, Prabhagaran remains determined to achieve his future aspirations. His ultimate goals include representing the Indian Kabaddi Team and venturing into the fish business.
