Deepak, born on October 27, 2004, hails from Kattur in the Trichy District of Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, Sankar, earns a living as a Bookmaker, while his mother, Kamala, diligently manages their household. Deepak comes from a close-knit family, including an elder brother, Naresh, who shares his passion for kabaddi, and a younger sister, Sabiya. Inspired by his brother Naresh, who is an accomplished kabaddi player, Deepak began his own journey in the sport at the age of 14. He excels as a Left Corner Defender, specializing in the art of the Ankle Hold, a skill that sets him apart on the kabaddi court. Under the tutelage of Coach Karna at the Kattur Sports Club in Trichy, Deepak hones his skills, drawing inspiration from kabaddi stalwarts like Naveen Kumar of Dabang Delhi and Fazel Atrachali. His admiration for their exemplary skills fuels his own ambition to excel in the sport. Deepak's achievements include representing Tamil Nadu in various prestigious tournaments such as the Junior Nationals in Telangana and the South Zone University tournaments in Andhra Pradesh. Notably, he was part of the Trichy District Team that emerged victorious in the CM Trophy Championship in Chennai in 2023. Apart from kabaddi, Deepak enjoys playing cricket and actively participates in other sports. Currently pursuing his Second Year of BSc in Computer Science, he harbors aspirations of donning the jersey of a Pro Kabaddi team and representing the Indian Kabaddi Team. Additionally, he aims to secure employment with the Indian Railways, furthering his career aspirations beyond the kabaddi court. With his dedication, talent, and ambitious goals, Deepak is poised to make a mark in the world of kabaddi.
