David Wilson, born on June 1, 2000, originates from Purathakudi in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, Arockiya Samy, earns his livelihood as a Mason, while his mother, Johnsi Mary, takes care of their home. David is the elder sibling in his family, with a younger sister named Pramila Mary, who also shares his love for kabaddi. At the age of 10, David was drawn to kabaddi by the sight of villagers engaging in the sport, igniting his passion for the game. He quickly found his niche as a Left Raider, excelling in executing Bonus moves during matches. Under the guidance of Coach Leo from his village, David honed his skills on the local ground, learning the intricacies of the game. Inspired by the legendary Pardeep Narwal, renowned for his mastery of the Dubki move, David considers him his favorite player. He admires Narwal's agility and strategic prowess on the kabaddi mat. David's achievements include representing his university at the South Zone University games in Bangalore in 2022 and winning accolades at the Inter-University college games in Tiruchandur in 2023, where his team emerged victorious, and he was honored as the Best Raider. In addition to kabaddi, David enjoys playing volleyball and actively participates in various sports. Currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Physical Education, specializing in MPed, David aspires to become a role model for the youth and pursue a career as a professional Physical Education Teacher. With his clear goals and determination, David aims to inspire and mentor future generations in the pursuit of sports excellence.
