Mohamed Umar was born on March 14, 2004, in Tirunelveli, Melappalayam, Tamil Nadu. Growing up in Melappalayam, Tamil Nadu, he was raised by his mother, Mumtaj, after his father, Rasool Maideen, passed away. He is the youngest among his four elder sisters. At the age of 13, Mohamed discovered his passion for Kabaddi and began his journey as a Right Corner Defender. Under the mentorship of Coach Snowson, he honed his skills at the Melappalayam School ground, specializing in techniques like the ankle hold. Despite facing challenges, Mohamed excelled in his academic pursuits, completing his education up to 12th standard. He captained his school Kabaddi team, leading them to the runners-up position in various competitions, including the CM trophy and State championships. Outside of Kabaddi, Mohamed enjoys playing cricket and volleyball, showcasing his versatility in sports. He draws inspiration from players like Sanjay Kumar, admiring their defensive prowess on the Kabaddi mat. Looking towards the future, Mohamed aspires to become a professional Kabaddi player, aiming to compete in the prestigious Pro Kabaddi League. Despite facing adversity, Mohamed remains determined to achieve greatness in the sport he loves, driven by his solitary journey and unwavering ambition.
