Sanjay Kumar, born on June 17, 2002, is a native of Chettikulam, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, S. Rajakumar, earns a livelihood as a farmer, primarily cultivating wheat and rice, while his mother, R. Thangalakshmi, manages their household affairs. Sanjay has two siblings, an elder sister named Ponsuhana and a younger brother named Pon Vijayaragavan. Sanjay's journey into Kabaddi began during his 9th standard when he was captivated by the sport during a festival. Since then, he has been deeply engrossed in the game, particularly excelling as a Right Cover Defender, known for his swift and powerful Dash moves. Under the guidance of his school coach, Velmurugan, at SIV Institutions in Vadacankulam, Sanjay has honed his skills and technique. He admires Anup Kumar, a former Kabaddi player known for his calm demeanor and strategic gameplay, likening him to the cricketing legend MS Dhoni. Despite his commitment to Kabaddi, Sanjay also pursued other sports like volleyball during his schooling years and occasionally played cricket for leisure. Currently pursuing an Integrated MBA at Loyola College, Thovalayam, he harbors aspirations of joining the army, driven by a desire for physical fitness and a sense of duty. His ambition was initially directed towards joining the police force, but disillusioned by the politics involved, he now sets his sights on a military career. Sanjay's reserved nature belies his clear goals and determination, making him a focused and disciplined individual with a promising future ahead.
