Pottal Muthu Murugan

Pottal Muthu M, born on January 9, 2004, hails from Azhagappapuram, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides there. His father, Murugan, earns a living as a farmer, while his mother, Petchiammal, manages their household. He has two siblings: an elder sister named Masanam and a younger sister named Baghavati. Pottal Muthu discovered his interest in kabaddi at the age of 16, inspired by the seniors playing in his village. He primarily plays as a Left Raider and excels in techniques like Hand Touch. His training is overseen by coaches Dennis and Standely at the Azhagai Kabaddi Club. His admiration for Pardeep Narwal stems from Narwal's remarkable dubki skills, which Pottal Muthu greatly admires. Representing South Zone University at Anna University in 2022 and participating in the Junior State tournament in Kanyakumari in the same year are among his notable achievements. Although kabaddi is his passion, basketball was his favorite sport during his school days. His career highlights include being part of the Azhagappapuram team that emerged victorious in a crucial South Zone match, winning by a single point. Currently pursuing a BE in Automobile Engineering, Pottal Muthu aspires to work in the police force in the future.
