Ravi, born on March 11, 2002, hails from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Currently residing in the same city, he comes from a modest background, with his father, P Raman, working as a coolie and his mother, Thangam, employed as a cleaner at the TN Corporation office. Ravi has an elder brother named Badri, although neither of them actively participates in kabaddi. At the age of 18, Ravi began his kabaddi journey, specializing as a right raider. Known for his agility and versatility, he excels in various aspects of raiding, including jumping, rotation, bonus points, and hand touches. Under the guidance of his coach, Sundar, at the Ambedkar Sports Club in Chennai, Ravi refines his skills and sharpens his gameplay. Ravi holds Babu in high regard as his favorite player. Babu's expertise in the corner position and his exceptional gameplay inspire Ravi, especially his ability to manage the team effectively. Having represented in junior state tournaments and South Zone Inter University competitions, Ravi's career highlights include participating in the Inter University matches and the YKS tournament. Beyond kabaddi, Ravi has a keen interest in cricket, volleyball, and football. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy, he aspires to become a coach in the future. His passion for teaching and nurturing young talents drives his ambition to impart his knowledge and skills to the next generation of kabaddi players.
