Born on October 7, 1999, in Appanur, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu, he currently resides in the same place. His father, Karupaiyya, is a farmer who cultivates rice, while his mother, Ariyanacha K, is a homemaker. Ganesan has two elder brothers, Santhanakumar and Karthik, who play kabaddi in local tournaments, and a younger sister named Vaduvikuarasi. Ganesan started playing kabaddi at the age of 16 and is known as an All Rounder, specializing in playing as a Left Corner and Right Raider. His favorite skill on the field is the Double Thigh Hold. He is coached by Ramkumar, who serves as the district coach of Ramanathapuram, and practices at the Tamil Nadu Police Club Ground. His favorite kabaddi player is Ankush, a pro kabaddi player for Jaipur Pink Panthers, whom he admires for his ankle hold and double thigh hold skills. Ganesan has represented Madras University in All India University tournaments in 2017 and 2018, and also participated in South Zone University tournaments in the same years. Additionally, he has represented the Tamil Nadu Police team in the All India Police tournaments in 2021 and 2023. In the junior category, he represented Chennai District in the years 2016 and 2017. Apart from kabaddi, Ganesan enjoys playing chess. He holds a College Graduation degree in BA History. In terms of career highlights, he mentions a regrettable incident where the team lost a match due to his performance in a local tournament in Mayilattuthurai. Ganesan aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League and become a star player in the future.
