B Arunkumar

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing AMKC Gobi, we have Arunkumar. Born on June 2, 1999, in Erode, Tamil Nadu, Arunkumar currently resides in Chennai, where he is studying at Vels University. His father, Balasubramaniyam, has passed away, and his mother, Kalaivani, is a homemaker. He has an elder brother named Ananth, who doesn't play kabaddi. Arunkumar developed an interest in kabaddi at the age of 17 after playing casually. He primarily plays as a Right Raider, specializing in the Toe Touch technique. He is coached by Ismyil at AMKC, and he practices in Erode. Arunkumar's favorite kabaddi player is Pawan Sehrawat, known for his exceptional skills and gameplay. He has represented in several prestigious tournaments, including the Junior Nationals in West Bengal in 2019, where he won a Bronze Medal, and the Khelo India University Games in Uttar Pradesh in 2023 and Assam in 2024. He also participated in the South Zone Inter-University tournament in Bangalore in 2023 and the All India University Games in Rohtak in the same year. Apart from kabaddi, Arunkumar enjoys swimming. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree and aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League and secure a job in the Central Government.
