In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing the Alathankarai Club is Jegan. He was born on January 5, 2000, in Krishnapuram, Viruthanagar District, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides there. Jegan's father, Danashekaran, works as a daily wage worker, while his mother, Parameshwari, is a homemaker. He has a younger sister named Sandhya, who does not play Kabaddi. Jegan began playing Kabaddi at the age of 14. His father enrolled him in the hostel of a Kabaddi academy to channel his energy positively and learn the sport. His original playing position is a Left Raider, and his best skill is the Running Hand Touch. He is coached by Ravichandran, who is also the coach of the Alathankarai Club. Jegan practices at the Alathankarai Club. His favorite Kabaddi player is Ravi Chandran, his coach, whom he admires for his excellent kicks and courageous gameplay. Jegan has represented his team in various competitions, including the Senior Nationals in 2016, 2017, and 2018, as well as the University Games in 2016 as part of MS University, Kerala. Apart from Kabaddi, Jegan enjoys playing volleyball as another sport. He has completed his education up to the 12th standard. Currently, he is employed in the Customs - Income Tax department through the sports quota. One of Jegan's career highlights includes participating in the All India National Games in Velur in 2019, where his team reached the final but lost against the Army by a point in a thrilling match. His future aspiration is to continue playing Kabaddi excellently and maintain a cheerful disposition at all times.
