Representing the Alathankarai Club in the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament is Manoj, born on October 21, 2003, in Alanthankarai, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, Manikandan, works as a daily wage laborer, while his mother, Selvi, is a homemaker. Manoj has one younger brother named Yogesh. Manoj discovered his passion for Kabaddi at the age of 12 by observing people play in his village. His interest gradually grew, leading him to join the AZ Kabaddi Academy. He specializes as a Left Corner Defender, renowned for his ankle hold technique. Manoj's coach, Damodharan, hails from his village, and he practices at the Alanthankarai Kabaddi Club. Thangavel from Tamil Nadu is Manoj's favorite player, admired for his skills and representation of Tamil Nadu in the Senior Nationals. In addition to Kabaddi, Manoj enjoys playing badminton and has achieved success in various tournaments, including winning a gold medal in the CM Trophy 2022. He is currently pursuing his BA degree and aspires to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League in the future. Manoj's career highlights include representing Kanyakumari district in the Junior State Championship 2020 and participating in two seasons of KBD Juniors.
