Sunny Rathod

Sunny Chunilal Rathod, hailing from Morad, Maharashtra, emerges as a formidable force in the kabaddi arena, representing the Jalna District team in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Born on March 13, 2002, to Chunilal and Godavari Rathod, Sunny's journey in kabaddi began during his school days at the age of 14. Primarily known for his defensive prowess, Sunny assumes the role of a Right Corner Defender on the kabaddi mat, exhibiting exceptional skills, particularly in executing ankle holds. Under the guidance of coach Ambadas Gite at the Jija mata Krida Mandal, Sunny refines his techniques, drawing inspiration from kabaddi stalwart Arun Choudhari, renowned for his deft hand touches. Despite not having prior representations at tournaments, Sunny's talent shines through, as evidenced by his accolades, including the title of Best Raider in local tournaments. With aspirations to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Sunny remains steadfast in his pursuit of excellence, fueled by his passion for the sport and determination to make a mark on the professional stage.
