Tejas Vardam

Tejas Vijay Vardam, born on October 15, 2001, in Vorli, Maharashtra, epitomizes the essence of kabaddi with his skillful gameplay. Hailing from Dombiwali, Maharashtra, Tejas is the son of Vijay Vardam, a dedicated banker, and Vishakha Vijay Vardam, a nurturing homemaker. Growing up with his younger brother, Nandakumar Vijay Vardam, Tejas discovered his passion for kabaddi during his school years, initiating his journey in the sport at the age of 15. Specializing as a Left Cover Defender, Tejas exhibits exemplary talent in executing the Chain maneuver, a testament to his strategic acumen and defensive prowess on the kabaddi mat. Under the mentorship of coaches Vishal Kadam and Mayur Khamkar at the Vijay Navnath Club, Tejas hones his skills and refines his gameplay to excel in various defensive roles. Inspired by the dynamic playing style of Vishal Mane, Tejas admires Mane's aggressive approach, particularly his proficiency in executing dashes. Despite limited representations at higher levels, Tejas has showcased his defensive prowess in local matches, earning recognition as the best defender in certain instances. Beyond kabaddi, Tejas also enjoys playing cricket, showcasing his versatility in sporting interests. Currently pursuing his college graduation degree in Bachelor of Commerce (TY.
