Yash Pawar

Yash Pawar, born on July 29, 2003, in Satara, Maharashtra, is a versatile kabaddi player currently representing the Mumbai Shahar team in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Residing in Prabhadevi, Mumbai, Maharashtra, Yash is the son of Vijay Pawar, who works as a driver, and Shobha, a dedicated homemaker. He also has a younger brother named Ganesh. Yash's journey in kabaddi began at the age of 17, where he showcased his versatility as an all-rounder, adept at playing various positions including Left Corner Defender, Left Cover Defender, and Left Raider. Under the guidance of his coach, Sanjay Mhatre, Yash has honed his skills, with his best attribute being his ability to execute powerful dashes on the kabaddi mat. Inspired by the multifaceted skills of Naveen Kumar, Yash admires him for his versatility and hopes to emulate his success in the sport. Despite his busy schedule, Yash remains committed to both his professional and sporting endeavors. In addition to kabaddi, Yash has a keen interest in cricket and football, reflecting his passion for sports and his commitment to leading an active lifestyle. Currently pursuing his Second Year B.Comm degree, Yash strikes a balance between his academic pursuits and his dedication to kabaddi. Yash's career highlights include his participation in various district-level tournaments, including the Under 18 Junior District in Wadala in 2019 and 2022, as well as the Vyavasayik - Open Age tournament in Parel in January 2024, where he delivered standout performances. With aspirations to represent Maharashtra State and Team India in kabaddi, Yash is driven by his ambition to excel at the highest levels of the sport. As he continues to train hard and showcase his talent on the kabaddi field, Yash remains poised to achieve his dreams and leave a lasting legacy in the world of kabaddi.
