Chandrakant Jagtap, born on February 28, 2004, in Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, is a promising kabaddi player representing the Kolhapur team in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Currently residing in Hatkanangale, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, Chandrakant comes from a family where his father, Suryakant Jagtap, is involved in a trading business along with a friend, and his mother, Nalini, is a homemaker. He has an elder sister, Kasturi, and a younger brother, Shivam, neither of whom play kabaddi. Chandrakant's journey in kabaddi began at the age of 12 when he switched from learning wrestling to pursuing kabaddi. He primarily plays as a Left Raider and is known for his excellent hand touch skills. Under the mentorship of his coach, Mansingh Patil, Chandrakant refines his abilities at the Shahu Sadoli Club in Kolhapur. Aslam Inamdar serves as Chandrakant's inspiration in kabaddi due to his exceptional skills on the mat. Chandrakant admires Aslam's prowess, which motivates him to improve his own game. In addition to kabaddi, Chandrakant also enjoys playing cricket and football. He is currently pursuing a degree in B.Pharmacy and is in his third year of college. Chandrakant's career highlights include his participation in the Under 17 District tournament in 2019 in Ichalkaranji. His aspiration is to secure a job in the pharmaceutical sector, particularly in the Army Medical field, and to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League to further his career in the sport.
