Aniket Popat Bharti, born on April 13, 2004, in Pangri Beed, Maharashtra, currently resides in Bhoom Dharashiv. His father, Popat Machindra Bharti, serves as a bank officer, while his mother, Savita Popat Bharti, is dedicated to the teaching profession. Aniket has an elder brother, Ajay Bharti, who does not share his interest in kabaddi. Aniket's journey in kabaddi commenced during his school days at the age of 14, where he discovered his prowess as a Left Corner Defender. With an innate knack for the ankle hold, he has mastered the art of thwarting opponent raiders with his swift and precise tackles. Under the guidance of coach Amar Supekar, Aniket refines his skills at the Shivneri Sports Club in Bhoom. Admiring the technique and finesse of Kiran Magar, Aniket's favorite player, he aspires to replicate his idol's ankle hold prowess on the kabaddi mat. Despite his siblings not sharing his passion for kabaddi, Aniket has represented his state in various tournaments, including Balewadi in 2021, Ganga Khed in 2022, and Thane in 2023, showcasing his talent at a competitive level. Aniket's career highlights include a crucial match at the state level where his team was trailing by one point in the dying minutes. Aniket's decisive raid led to a super tackle, turning the tide in his team's favor and securing victory in the final moments. With aspirations to join the police force and make a mark in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Aniket remains steadfast in his pursuit of excellence both on and off the kabaddi field.
