Deepak Rohidas Rathod was born on May 10, 2002, in Shingoli Dharashiv, Maharashtra, and currently resides in the same locality. His parents, Rohidas Dhanu Rathod and Mahananda Rohidas Rathod, are hardworking farmers. Deepak has two elder sisters, Sushila and Akash, both of whom do not share his passion for kabaddi. Deepak's journey in kabaddi began during his school days at the age of 13, where he discovered his knack for the sport. As an All Rounder, he excels in both the positions of Left Raider and Left Corner Defender, showcasing remarkable agility and strategic acumen. Under the guidance of coach Nitin Umbe, Deepak hones his skills at the Village School Ground, perfecting techniques such as the Jump, which he executes with precision and finesse. Admiring the legendary Aslam Inamdar for his Bonus and Hand Touch maneuvers, Deepak draws inspiration from his idol's prowess on the kabaddi mat. Despite his siblings not sharing his passion, Deepak continues to pursue his love for the sport, representing his state in prestigious tournaments such as the Under-19 category in 2021 and the Open category in 2023. Beyond kabaddi, Deepak harbors a fondness for cricket and actively participates in other sports. Currently pursuing a college graduation degree in FYBA, he aspires to carve a niche for himself in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). One of his most significant achievements to date was being awarded the Best Defender title in a local tournament in 2023, a testament to his dedication and skill in the sport. With aspirations set high, Deepak remains steadfast in his pursuit of making a mark in the world of professional kabaddi.
