Swabhiman Shinde

Swabhiman Dhananjay Shinde, born on October 23, 2004, in Paranda, Osmanabad District, Maharashtra, is a rising star in the world of kabaddi, distinguished by his agility and remarkable jumping prowess. Hailing from a family of farmers, with his father Dhananjay and mother Reshma tending to their agricultural pursuits, Swabhiman discovered his passion for kabaddi at the age of 14. Excelling as a Right Cover Defender, Swabhiman's ability to leap with finesse sets him apart on the kabaddi court, a skill he attributes to his idol, Pawan Sehrawat, known for his exceptional jumps. Under the mentorship of coaches Sachin Patil and Deepak Ovhal at the Kranti Career Academy in Paranda, Swabhiman refines his techniques, with a particular affinity for executing rapid dashes during crucial moments of the game. Despite his younger brother Sarthak pursuing wrestling, Swabhiman remains dedicated to kabaddi, showcasing his commitment to the sport. Swabhiman's career highlights include a standout performance in the Under 19 District tournament in Kumargadh, Thane, in 2023. In a nail-biting match where his team was trailing by three points, Swabhiman's heroic four-point super raid in the final minute turned the tide, propelling his team to the semi-finals and solidifying his reputation as a game-changer. Currently pursuing his first year of BA studies, Swabhiman harbors aspirations of securing a job in the Maharashtra Police through the sports quota, alongside his dream of gracing the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) stage. With his determination and talent, Swabhiman remains poised to make significant strides in kabaddi, fueled by his unwavering dedication to success on and off the field.
