Nikhil Surendra Shirke, born on September 12, 2002, in Karsure Raigad, Maharashtra, remains rooted in his hometown, where he currently resides. Born into a family with a strong work ethic, Nikhil draws inspiration from his father, Surendra Harichandra Shirke, who holds a position in a reputed Reliance company, and his mother, Bharti Surendra Shirke, also employed. Despite not having any siblings involved in kabaddi, Nikhil embarked on his kabaddi journey during his college years, igniting his passion for the sport at the age of 18. Specializing as a Right Raider, Nikhil showcases remarkable skill in executing agile jumps, proving to be a valuable asset on the kabaddi court. Under the mentorship of coaches Amit Kumar and Sumeet Mane at Midline Academy Raigad, Nikhil refines his techniques and hones his abilities, aiming to carve a niche for himself in the competitive kabaddi arena. Admiring the prowess of players like Aslam Inamdar, Nikhil finds inspiration in their dynamic style, particularly appreciating their jumping prowess and adeptness in securing bonus points.
