Abhishek Yogesh Shinde, born on November 24, 2005, originates from Kumbharli, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. His father, Yogesh Ganpat Shinde, is a farmer, while his mother, Ekata Yogesh Shinde, works as a tailor. Abhishek has a younger brother named Parth Yogesh Shinde, who does not play Kabaddi. Inspired by his father, who himself played Kabaddi at the district level, Abhishek began his Kabaddi journey in the 1st standard. He observed the seniors playing Kabaddi in his village and was drawn to the sport. With unwavering support from his parents, especially his father who accompanies him to every match, Abhishek developed his skills as a Left Raider. Known for his agility and precision, Abhishek's best skills include the "Jump" and "Front hand touch." He receives coaching from his father, Yogesh Ganpat Shinde, and Sanjay Shinde, his current coach, at Gurukul in Ratnagiri. His favorite player is Aslam Inamdar, a Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) player, admired for his skill and speed. Abhishek has represented Ratnagiri District in the 2023 Kabaddi tournament. His career highlight includes a remarkable performance in the final match of a local tournament in Chiplun village in 2024. Despite facing tough opponents from Kolkewadi, Abhishek's all-round performance, scoring 20-25 raid points and 2-4 tackle points, led his team, Khumbarli, to victory. Currently pursuing his first year of BSc IT for his college graduation degree, Abhishek aspires to represent India in Kabaddi in the future.
