Bunty Ankush Nikam, born on June 29, 2008, in Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, currently resides in his hometown. Hailing from a family rooted in agriculture, Bunty is the son of Ankush Sham Nikam and Shalini Ankush Nikam, and he shares his upbringing with his elder sister, Ankita Nikam. Despite his rural upbringing, Bunty's tryst with kabaddi began during his 8th standard, inspired by fellow students playing the sport at school, igniting a passion within him. Exceling as a Left Corner Defender, Bunty has mastered the art of the ankle hold, showcasing his defensive prowess on the kabaddi mat. Under the guidance of coaches Rushikesh Bhojne and Amol Pawar at the Midline Academy in Karjat, Bunty continues to refine his skills and strategies, aspiring to emulate the success of his favorite player, Girish Ernak. While kabaddi remains his primary passion, Bunty also enjoys playing cricket and football, showcasing his versatility in multiple sports. Despite not having formal representations yet, Bunty's dedication to the sport is evident through his participation in local tournaments. One notable highlight includes his spirited performance in a quarter-final match for Sangharsh Krida Mandal against Jai Hind Jayaba, despite facing defeat despite leading the match.
