Abhishek Mapari, born on October 19, 2001, in Shrirampur, Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, epitomizes resilience and dedication in the world of kabaddi. Currently residing in Bhenda, Ahmednagar, Abhishek's journey in kabaddi is a testament to his passion for the sport despite facing personal challenges, including the loss of his father, Rajendra. Starting his kabaddi journey at the age of 15, Abhishek quickly established himself as a versatile player, excelling in both the roles of Left Corner Defender and Right Raider. Under the guidance of his coach, Bandu Babu, who serves in the police force, Abhishek has refined his skills, particularly his trademark Back Kick, making him a formidable force on the kabaddi mat. Abhishek's dedication to kabaddi has seen him represent his university at the 2023 Pune University Games and his state at the Under 19 level in Bheed in 2019. Despite his father's untimely demise, Abhishek has remained resilient, supporting his family through farming while pursuing his passion for kabaddi and education. Outside of kabaddi, Abhishek's admiration for Pawan Sehrawat, a skillful raider, reflects his appreciation for talent and skill in the sport.
