Born on April 6, 2003, in Bhiwani, Rohila, Hisar, Manisha is a tenacious player with a story deeply rooted in the agricultural landscapes of Haryana. Manisha's father, Rajpal Singh, toils as a farmer, while her mother, Rajpati Devi, tends to their home with warmth and dedication. Manisha is part of a large, close-knit family comprising three elder sisters, one younger sister, and a younger brother. Notably, both Manisha and one of her elder sisters share a passion for kabaddi, representing a testament to the sport's familial bonds. Her kabaddi journey began at the age of 14, finding inspiration and encouragement from her elder sister and the vibrant kabaddi culture in her community. Under the guidance of Coach Dharampal Rohil, Manisha has honed her skills, specializing in the artful "Ankle Hold" as her signature move. The familiar grounds of the Government Senior Secondary School in Bhiwani, Rohila, witness Manisha's relentless practice sessions, where she refines her techniques and strengthens her defensive prowess. Her favorite player, Rinki Mithrawan, a stalwart in the Haryana State Team, serves as a beacon of inspiration for Manisha, who admires Rinki's game. In addition to her kabaddi pursuits, Manisha's love for sports extends to baseball, showcasing her versatile athletic interests. Currently in her third year of pursuing a BA degree, Manisha has proudly represented her school, college, district, and state in kabaddi. A notable highlight in her career includes winning the Best Defender Award in a local tournament at Bibipur, Jind, in January 2023-24, where the prize was a coveted bike. Looking ahead, Manisha aspires to secure a job that aligns with her passion for kabaddi and dreams of representing Team India on the international stage.
