Bandana Kumari, born on February 8, 2002, hails from Manhan, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, and currently resides in the same town. The daughter of Sri Battan Singh, a businessman, and Sushma Kumari, a homemaker, Bandana has a younger brother named Anuj Parmar, who does not play kabaddi. Bandana's kabaddi journey began at the age of 15, fueled by her deep interest in the sport. Her original playing position is at the Right Corner Defender position, where she excels in executing Ankle Holds and Thigh Holds, showcasing her prowess in defensive maneuvers. Under the guidance of her coach, Sandeep Sharma, Bandana refines her skills at the Krishna Kabaddi Academy. A fan of the renowned kabaddi player Pardeep Narwal, Bandana admires his expertise in the game, especially his mastery of the Dubki and various other impressive skills. Her favorite skill in kabaddi is raiding, demonstrating her admiration for the offensive aspect of the game. In addition to kabaddi, Bandana also engages in playing volleyball, showcasing her versatile sporting interests. Academically, she holds a college graduation degree and pursued subjects such as Biology in the 12th grade, followed by a BA in History, and is currently pursuing BEd in Social Science. Bandana has represented her school, college, district, and state in various kabaddi competitions. One of her career highlights includes participating in the inter-college tournament at Shiva College of Education in Ghumarwin. Looking ahead, her future aspiration is to join the defense forces, aligning her career goals with her passion for kabaddi.
