In the pulsating arena of the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024, Kritika, born on August 18, 2002, in Mahog, Solan, represents the formidable Himalayan Tahrs with her stellar prowess. Hailing from a humble background, Kritika is the daughter of Kuldeep, a hardworking farmer, and Poonam, a dedicated homemaker. Her kabaddi journey began in 3rd class, where her multifaceted engagement with various sports gradually converged into a passion for kabaddi, driven by her exceptional performance in the game. Specializing as a Right Raider, Kritika exhibits a repertoire of skills, excelling in Thigh Holds, Dubki, and Handtouches. Under the guidance of esteemed coaches like Satvir Kaur, Pankaj Kumar, and her first coach, Meher Singh Verma, at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Dharmashala, Kritika has honed her craft to become a formidable force on the kabaddi field. Beyond kabaddi, she has showcased her athletic prowess in intercollegiate competitions, securing 1st place in running and 2nd place in shotput in 2023. Kritika draws inspiration from players like Pushpa Rana of the Himalayan Tahrs and Aslam Inamdar, admiring their game and unique playing styles. Her journey boasts representations at the school, college, district, state, and national levels, with a notable highlight being her stellar performance in the U-19 final match in Delhi for Himachal Pradesh. Playing in the right cover position for the first time, Kritika's exceptional performance added another feather to her cap. Currently pursuing her graduation in BA, Kritika harbors the aspiration of donning the Indian colors on the international stage, symbolizing the dreams and determination that fuel her journey in the world of kabaddi.
