Gungun

Gungun, born on July 17, 2004, in Delhi, represents the team "Panchala Pride" in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Hailing from Delhi NCR (Union Territory), she is currently residing in Sharda Yamunavihar. Gungun's father, Raju Das, works as a cable operator, and she has two siblings – an elder sister and a younger brother. Her kabaddi journey commenced at the age of 14, and she primarily plays as a Left Corner Defender, specializing in the Ankle Hold technique. Naveen Kumar serves as her coach, guiding her training at JBS Academy in Delhi. Gungun's favorite kabaddi player is Sakshi Sharma, whom she admires for her exceptional skills. Despite not playing kabaddi, her favorite sport other than kabaddi is golf, and she has even participated in the National level for the same. Academically, Gungun is pursuing her college graduation degree in the Arts stream (BA), currently in the second year. In her career highlights, she participated in the Junior State Kabaddi Championship in 2023, representing Delhi. Looking forward, Gungun aspires to play in the Asian Games and dreams of being the captain of the kabaddi team in that prestigious tournament. Her dedication to the sport and ambitious goals showcase her commitment to achieving success in her kabaddi career.
