Meet the dynamic right raider, M. Narmatha, a promising talent representing the Palani Tuskers in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Born on May 13, 2006, in the picturesque town of Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Narmatha's journey into kabaddi is a tale of newfound passion and family inspiration. Narmatha's father, K. Murugan, works as a dedicated sweeper, and her mother, M. Venmathi, manages their home with love and care. Despite being an only child, Narmatha discovered her love for kabaddi in 2020 when she saw girls her age engaging in the sport in her neighborhood. Intrigued and excited, she joined them, and it wasn't long before she realized her inherent interest and talent for kabaddi. What makes Narmatha's story truly special is the role her father plays in her kabaddi journey. K. Murugan, having played in local tournaments himself, serves as her primary coach. His experience, guidance, and unwavering support make him the best coach in Narmatha's eyes. Additionally, she receives guidance from Murugan of CKC Club, her current coach, who further refines her skills. Practicing diligently at the CKC Club, Narmatha has developed a unique skill set, with her best move being the powerful "Push Skill" during raids. Her favorite player is none other than her uncle, Vinayagamurthi, a figure who became an inspiration through her father's tales about him. Narmatha has proudly represented her school, college, district, and state, achieving a notable feat by securing the 1st place in the School State Championship held in Karur in 2023. One of her career highlights includes a senior championship match in Villupuram in 2022, where, despite the team's loss, they performed exceptionally well against strong opponents from SMVKC, Ottanchetram. Currently pursuing her college graduation in BA Economics, Narmatha aspires to secure a government job and serve in the police force, showcasing her determination to contribute to society. Narmatha's story epitomizes the spirit of rising against the odds, fueled by newfound passion and family support, making her the Rising Star from Cuddalore to watch out for in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024.
