In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing PRIST University, we have Rama Bharathiraja. Born on March 16, 2002, in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu, he currently resides in Aappanur, Ramanathapuram. Rama Bharathiraja's father, Shanmuganathan, and mother, Veeramakali, are farmers, and he has two elder sisters named Sivasakthi and Sabrishwari. Rama Bharathiraja began playing kabaddi at the age of 12, influenced by the prevalence of the sport in his village. He is an all-rounder, excelling in both the positions of Right Corner Defender and Right Raider. His favorite skill in kabaddi is the thigh hold, and his best skill is the chain tackle. He is coached by Ramkumar, the village coach, and Ganeshan, his cousin brother, who have played significant roles in his kabaddi journey. Rama Bharathiraja practices in his village to hone his skills further. His favorite kabaddi player is Rohit Kumar, and he admires Rohit's bonus skill in particular. Apart from kabaddi, Rama Bharathiraja enjoys playing volleyball and actively participates in other sports. Rama Bharathiraja is currently pursuing a college graduation degree in BA English, and he is in his third year. He has represented Chola Veerans in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Winter Edition'23 and participated in the South Zone University tournament in Trichy in 2021. One of his career highlights includes a match in Tirupur for Duraisingham in 2022, where his team emerged victorious against JK Academy, Kerala. His future aspirations include playing in the Pro Kabaddi League and securing a government job. He is determined to pursue his passion for kabaddi while also aiming for a stable career in the government sector.
