Born on April 1, 2001, in a small village called Menai in Haryana, Neeraj Chahal's journey into the world of kabaddi is filled with heart and determination. Coming from a farming family, with his dad Mahavir working the fields and his mom Sudesh managing their home, Neeraj grew up surrounded by hard work and perseverance. He has a younger sister, Renu. Neeraj took his first steps into kabaddi at the age of 19, inspired by the stories of local players and the encouragement of his friends. Training intensely at the Sport Centre Gong under the watchful eye of coach Manoj Dalal, he has blossomed into a skilled all-rounder. With the agility of a Right Corner Defender and the boldness of a Left-Right Raider, he thrives on the court, particularly shining with his double thigh hold technique, a skill he admires from his favorite player, Ravinder Pahal. Neeraj also plays circle kabaddi at the state level. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sports, Neeraj skillfully balances his academics and his passion for kabaddi. His ultimate dream? To shine in the Pro Kabaddi League. With every match, Neeraj is one step closer to realizing his aspirations.
