Babu Murugasan, born on September 28, 1999, in Therkuruchi, Tamil Nadu, and currently residing in the same locality, comes from a family where his father, Murugasan R, serves in Civil Supply, while his mother, P Rajakumari, manages the household. He shares his childhood with two brothers, M Bharath, his elder sibling, and M Abin, his younger brother. It's noteworthy that Bharath is also a Kabaddi enthusiast. Babu's Kabaddi journey began at the age of 14, assuming the role of a Left Cover Defender, and his standout skill lies in executing the thigh hold technique. Under the mentorship of Ravichandran, a former Tamil Nadu EB team player, he hones his abilities at Alathankarai. Despite admiring several players, including those in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Babu acknowledges himself as his favorite player, a testament to his self-confidence and belief in his abilities. His achievements include representing Vels University in the All India University 2023 tournament, where he secured his first medal. Alongside Kabaddi, he indulges in football and is pursuing a BA in Sociology at Vels University. Looking ahead, his aspirations include settling down after marriage, reflecting his commitment to both personal and professional growth.
