Vislavath Anirudh Naik

Vislavath Anirudh Naik, born on December 10, 2001, in Hyderabad, has a story woven from family, dreams, and kabaddi passion. Growing up in a vibrant household where his father, V. Shanker, ran a bustling chicken and mutton shop, Anirudh was surrounded by activity and encouragement. With three loving elder sisters—Swapna, Santhosha, and Divya—support was never far, despite none of them venturing into the world of kabaddi. At the age of 18, Anirudh embarked on his kabaddi journey, motivated by his cousin Jai. That decision sparked a flame within him for the sport he grew to love. Under the watchful eye of Chandra Mohan Gouda at Jyothi Youth Club in LB Nagar, Anirudh has molded himself into a skilled Left Cover Defender. The thrill of executing a Running Dash and mastering the Bonus skill have become defining elements of his playing style. While he chases his kabaddi dreams, Anirudh balances these ambitions with his education. He recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with an emphasis on Computer studies. Looking ahead, he is eager to showcase his talents in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Winter Edition 2024, inspired by his idol, Anup Kumar, whose leadership he deeply admires. Anirudh dreams not only of being a successful kabaddi player but also of becoming a businessman, embodying the spirit of hard work and determination.
