K Tarun Ram

K Tarun Ram, born on September 21, 2000, in Nampally, Hyderabad, is a rising star in the world of kabaddi. Growing up in a close-knit family in Telangana, with his father, K Uday Ram, running a kirana shop and his mother, K Santhoshi, managing the household, Tarun found inspiration early on. His journey into kabaddi began at the tender age of 14, sparked by his brothers' influence. As a Right Cover Defender for the Hyderabad Hurricanes, Tarun has honed his skills at the Navshakthi Club LB stadium under the guidance of coach Mahindra. He’s particularly known for his exceptional chain tackle and thigh hold techniques, which showcase his agility and strategic mindset on the mat. Tarun's passion for the sport is palpable, and he's a huge fan of the legendary player Sunil Kumar, who inspires him every day. Having participated in the Junior National Championship in 2018, Tarun is set to showcase his talent in the Yuva Kabaddi Series Winter Edition in 2024. Although he hasn’t yet played at a national or international level, his dream is to wear the Indian jersey and compete for his country. With unwavering dedication and hard work, the future looks bright for him in kabaddi!
