K Dharanidharan

Dharanidharan K, born on January 8, 2002, originates from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides in Chengalpattu. His father, Kandhasamy P, is a salesman. Dharanidharan has two siblings, an elder brother named Rishikumar K, and a younger brother named Vijay Raghavan K, who also plays kabaddi. Dharanidharan discovered his passion for kabaddi at the age of 17 while attending school. Specializing as a Left Raider, Dharanidharan is known for his adeptness in kicks and bonus points. He was coached by Surya from his city, whose guidance proved invaluable in his kabaddi journey. Despite Surya's unfortunate demise, Dharanidharan continues to train diligently at SRM University in Chengalpattu. His favorite kabaddi players are Prapanjan and Ajith Kumar, both hailing from Tamil Nadu and celebrated champions of the Pro Kabaddi League. Dharanidharan has represented his university in various tournaments, including the Yuva Kabaddi Series in Madurai and the South Zone in 2022 and 2023. Beyond kabaddi, Dharanidharan enjoys playing chess, volleyball, and cricket. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Commerce, his ultimate goal is to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League and represent Tamil Nadu in the National Championships. His past achievement includes participating in the Yuva Kabaddi Series. Described as ambitious and dedicated, Dharanidharan is determined to make his mark in kabaddi at both the regional and national levels.
