Bhargav Bhavarth Mandrekar, born on June 15, 2004, in the coastal town of Tuem, Goa, is carving out an impressive path in the world of kabaddi. Growing up in a family of educators—his father is a school teacher and his mother teaches at a primary school—Bhargav was inspired from an early age. He began his sports journey at just 12 years old while in school and has blossomed into a dynamic Left Raider. His rise in kabaddi took shape under the guidance of Navso Parab, who not only coached him at the Adarsh Yuva Sang club but also introduced him to the sport. With intense dedication, Bhargav honed his techniques, excelling particularly in Bonus, Escape, and Jump skills. His commitment culminated in a significant achievement when he captained his team to a commendable third-place finish at the 49th Junior Nationals held in Hyderabad. Bhargav is now setting his sights on the Pro Kabaddi League, dreaming of making his mark in the starting lineup. He draws inspiration from kabaddi legends like Pardeep Narwal and Aslam Inamdar, trying to replicate their footwork during matches. Alongside kabaddi, he has also showcased his talent in table tennis and aims for greater heights in sports.
