Meet Phool Chandra, a vibrant and determined kabaddi player hailing from Manendragarh, Chhattisgarh. Born on December 28, 2005, Phool recently moved to Bilaspur to pursue his undergraduate studies. His journey is deeply rooted in family, and it's inspiring to see how his father, Amaan Singh, a farmer, and his mother, Raghuvarya, a dedicated housewife, have been tremendous supporters of his ambitions. He also shares this journey with two elder siblings, Rajkumar Singh and Mamta Singh, who have cheered him on. Phool’s love for kabaddi ignited at the age of 16 during a local village tournament. This experience opened his eyes to the sport, leading him to join the Veer Shivaji Kabaddi Club in Bilaspur under the mentorship of coach Hemant Yadav. As an all-rounder, Phool shines in both raiding and defense, particularly favoring the hand touch, which he has mastered over time. His determination has taken him to various competitions, like the YKS with Chambal Challengers in 2023 and Khelo India 2024, where he faced formidable opponents. Inspired by the remarkable Maninder Singh, Phool dreamily aspires to wear the Indian jersey one day. With a passion for kabaddi and a commitment to his studies, he is on a path of relentless pursuit toward his dreams.
