Vinith, born on October 17, 2002, originates from Kallampatti, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, and represents the Kattakudi Sports team in the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament. His father, Munichamy, works as a daily wage worker, while his mother, Suganya, manages their household. Vinith has an elder brother named Vivek, who does not play kabaddi. His journey in kabaddi began at the age of 13 when he participated in a sub-junior camp selection and got selected, despite initially favoring cricket. Excelling as a Left Corner Defender, Vinith's standout skill is the Ankle Hold. He receives guidance from his coach, M Nagaraj, whom he met at the Sports Development Authority Tamil Nadu (SDAT) and who played a pivotal role in motivating him. Vinith holds himself as his favorite player, aspiring to be a role model for others. His career highlights include representing Chola Veerans in the YKS tournaments, where matches against Palani Tuskers were particularly thrilling. He has participated in various competitions, including Sub Junior State in Ooty in 2017, School State in Karur in 2018-19, and South Zone University tournaments in Bangalore and Andhra Pradesh in 2022 and 2023, respectively. Despite his dedication to kabaddi, Vinith also enjoys playing volleyball and has completed his graduation in BA Economics. His future aspirations include playing in the Pro Kabaddi League, securing a government job, and earning selection to Team India. Vinith is returning for his third YKS edition, and his spirit and determination, as showcased in a video where he dislocated his shoulder and received assistance from Kapil Gurjar, have earned him positive feedback for displaying remarkable team spirit.
