Ankit Dahiya, born on April 25, 2005, in the quaint village of Kharkota in Sonipat, Haryana, now calls Jhajjar his home. He grew up in a supportive family, with his mother Nirmala, a dedicated housewife, and an elder sister, Sonia, who has different interests. Ankit's journey into sports began early, but it was his elder brother’s fervor for kabaddi that sparked Ankit’s passion. At just thirteen, Ankit dove into the world of kabaddi, quickly carving his identity as a right raider. Training at the Manjeet Chillar Kabaddi Academy in Delhi under the watchful eye of his coach, Rakesh Kumar, Ankit developed his skills, particularly excelling in his favorite move, the dubki. He draws inspiration from Pawan Sehrawat, admiring the strength and agility he brings to the game. Recently, Ankit showcased his talent at the Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition in 2023 as a member of the Chola Veerans. Although he faced challenges in the Khelo India tournament, his resolve remains unwavering. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in his second year, Ankit dreams of stepping onto the grand stage of the Pro Kabaddi League one day, fueled by his passion and determination.
